He Saw

Jesus knew everything about you before you were even born.

Even before He was pierced with that heavy crown of thorns.

Each drop of blood He shed contained your story and your name.

It was for your life He was sent, because of your lost soul He came.

He saw you as a child, He heard the prayers that you said.

He was there to tuck you in at night, He saw the dreams dancing in your head.

He saw the struggles as you grew and experienced every ounce of your pain.

He saw you splashing through the puddles one day in the rain.

He saw your first hurt, and heartache, and He shed a tear or two.

He saw the roads you would travel, and the wrongs you would try to undo.

He saw the days ahead in your life, before they even came.

He fell so much in love you, He longed for the day you'd do the same.

He saw you one day searching, confused, alone and lost.

It was for you He was reaching for up there, on that cross.

He gave His life so that these pages of your life could come true.

Because of what He saw, He gave His life so He could spend Eternity with you.
