If I Only Knew Then What I Know Now...
If I only knew then, what I know now,
If I could go back and make myself listen somehow.
If only someone could have gotten through to me,
If I had only had a glimpse of who I would later be.
It was all so confusing, and nothing seemed to be fair.
But, I never gave it a thought to give it up to God in prayer.
You had to have a boyfriend to be considered "cool".
I look back now and am sorry I followed such a crazy rule.
I look back and I know that it would've been best, had I decided to wait.
I figured if I didn't do what everyone else was doing , I'd get overlooked, I'd be too late.
Boys can be great friends, but you never know when they'll want to cross that line.
You have to be strong enough to tell them, a friend in you is all that they will find.
Don't fit in... instead, stand out, be who you honestly think you should be.
If your looking to God for guidance, the answer will be clear to see.
The tiniest steps you take, can determine the outcome for tomorrow.
There is no rush to getting older, enjoy these very minutes God's giving you to borrow.
I know you don't want to believe it, but your mom and dad know what is best.
Don't give in to everyone else, you're not like all the rest.
