Glimpse
I caught a glimpse of Heaven today. When I overheard my little one pray.
"Thank you Holy Spirit for taking hold of me. For Jesus being my friend and for my family."
Hands folded together, and his eyes squinted tight. Asking for forgiveness, and for wrongs to be made right.
Prayers with such innocence, and coming straight from his heart. He asked God to stop the world from falling apart.
I caught a glimpse of heaven today. When I helped an older woman who looked like she had lost her way.
She said that when her mind wanders Jesus holds her, and helps her to understand. That He whispers of a time when she'll be home at last, in the promised land.
As she shares her story, I notice as she sheds just one small tear. I know that she is full of joy to know her earthly end is near.
I caught a glimpse of Heaven today. When I passed by a school and watched the children play.
There was a small one in a wheelchair, he couldn’t have been more than eight. His legs were all crooked and he couldn’t see straight.
His friends gathered around and included him in every game they played. He couldn’t do much, but he could smile the biggest smile ever made.
From ear to ear they made him laugh till he cried. They looked past his differences and saw who he was on the inside.
I caught a glimpse of Heaven today. In everything that came my way.
This is not Heaven, but there are little pieces of it all around. It might have spilled over from up above and landed here on the ground.
